"IF PAIN CAN BE ‘TURNED UP’ IT CAN ALSO BE ‘TURNED DOWN’". What we know about pain? It can be physical but also biological, psychological and socio-environmental (BPS model). We know, pain and damage are not equated, because one can exist without the other. Pain is rarely solely local in origin, and always part of a bigger picture. Some pain responses are often learned behaviours or habitual responses to past trauma and other triggers. Pain is an output as much as an input, totally dependent on context, all measurements are subjective and need to be properly assessed. We believe that if pain can be turned up it can also be turned down. Perhaps it’s best not to let yourself go beyond the point of being able to do something about it.
"WE CAN HELP YOU FEEL BETTER" On your first session, our mission is to listen to you. You understand your pain or problem better than anyone else. Then together we can try to solve any missing pieces to the puzzle of what it is that makes your brain shout something is wrong, we discuss your treatment plan, how we will proceed, therapy takes place and we send you off with adequate home care advice.
